Part of a set of three still-life paintings documenting late-1980s ephemera collected by my parents while they lived in Chicago and hung out on the North Side. This piece features an oversized portrait of the Charleston bar logo, my Mom's The Doors, Led Zeppelin, and The Loop pins, matchbooks from iconic Chicago bars, and a pool chalk and scuffer from that same era.
